Here’s is overview of what M.U.M is about and how it came to be:

     In 2008, Patricia Ferreira founded M.U.M, which is where we take your photos/videos and create a masterpiece for you to enjoy for years to come.  We offer many different services from; video/photo montage, student/office/special presentation, digitally refurbishes photos and digital scrapbooking. These services are more explained under the ‘Services’ tab. We specialize in photo montages which is a group of pictures in a sequence that flows with music.  We are more than just a slideshow; we take special care with each and every detail to bring your photos to life. In doing so, we tell your story for you!   Some people consider it an on-screen scrapbook that is made to fit the music.  Since 2008 we have created presentations for; weddings, funerals, birthdays, family reunions, special presentations, Christmas gifts, recitals, anniversaries and theatre productions.  Here at M.U.M. we are known as down to earth, yet professional.

     One might ask how M.U.M. came to fruition; it actually started with Patricia's Grandmother’s 80th Surprise Birthday Party. For three months Patricia planned this presentation for her Grandmother.  From gathering photos (her family consists of over 90 people), scanning them, editing them, grouping them in songs, and then making the final product. The presentation was 40 minutes in length and was cherished by all. So this is when she and those around her realized she has a talent for this. But it wasn't until her next project with a local not-for-profit organization, where she had enough courage to make a business out of it. Strathroy Community Players (SCP) came to her and asked her to do a video presentation for their spring show "One Hit Wonders". SCP gave her the confidence do really to do this as a side business.

     Next came the question of what the business name should be as we know that every successful business needs a catchy name. So it's Monitor because we are watching over your memories for you, plus we use computer monitors!  Patricia also loves internet lingo, so instead of using 'your' she decided to use 'ur'. But this is not the only reason; the initials spell mum. She lost her mom in 2003 to cancer so this makes her mom a part of this for her. So MUM is the word!
